Tamagotchi Connection Instructions is part of the Tamagotchi Connection Information Center.
The Instructions below are for the Tamagotchi Plus, very similar to Tamagotchi Connection and were provided by Bandai in their Japanese 3 Feb 2004 press release.
All functions above are controlled from the three buttons below the screen.The 'left' button is called 'A', the 'middle' button is called 'B' and the 'right' button is called 'C'.
'A' lets you scroll clockwise thru icons at the bottom of the screen to select a function.
'B' is used to select a function once you highlight it with 'A'. It also scrolls through the informationin each function and is used to set the time and date.
'C' is used to return to the main screen from within a function or to unselect all functions in the main screen.
The 'skull icon' means your Tamagotchi is ill and needs at least one dose of medicine.
You can connect your Tamagotchi Connection to another one (if they are both old enough) by using the 'A' button to select the 'heart' icon in the top right corner of the screen. Point the keychain end of each Tamagotchi at each other, then press the 'B' button twice. When you get them connected,they will automatically play games with each other, or visit and leave presents.
Be sure to turn out the light when your Tamagotchi sleeps at night, he will automaticallyturn it on when he wakes up.
Up to fifty friends can be stored along with the level of friendship: aquaintance, buddy, friend,good friend, best friend, true partner (indicated by the number of smiley faces).
TamagotchiSquare offers some tips from translations of two Japanese books providing hintsfor raising Tamagotchi Plus (the Japanese version of Tamagotchi Connection).The books are Bandai's Tamaplus Raising Guide (Japanese title is 'Kaettekita TamagotchiPlus Suku Suku Sodatekata Guide') and the Bandai Playing Book (Kaettekita! Tamagotchi to Asobu Hon').
Tamagotchi Connection Games For Girls
Tamagotchi Plus has meters for Hunger, Happiness and Discipline. The books speculatethere are three other variables of importance (Luck Level, Body Needs, and Heart/Spirit).
Luck Level ranges from one to five. If Tamagotchi's Luck level is high, they will beoffered more disciplined (higher discipline level) parters in arranged marriages. Luck Levelis fixed at birth and never changes, but marrying a higher Luck Level partner increasingLuck Level of the resulting offspring.
Body Needs are food, health and discipline.
Heart Needs are happiness, sleep and comforting.
Reacting to all calls within 15 minutes, turning light off within one hour of going to sleepat night and sucessfully playing at least 20 steps in the games (hurdles or dance) help Body Needs and Heart Needs.

Evolve your Tamagotchi Pets
After finishing the tutorial and knowing how to take care of your pet, you will be given a new egg in which a baby Tamagotchi hatches from it. The pets’ growth stage goes from Babies, Toddlers, Teens, to Adults. With each evolution being a surprise, you won’t know which Tamagotchi your pet will evolve into for the next stage! So keep hatching, shower them with lots of love, and unlock all the Tamagotchi pets in My Tamagotchi Forever!

Capture the Memorable Moments and Key Milestones of your Tamagotchi pets
With a simple click to capture button located on the game screen, recording the fun moments of your Tamagotchi pets is not a difficult task anymore. Take a snapshot when your Tamagotchi is eating, having fun on the swing in the playground, scored a goal in the soccer field, or even when it is trying out a new outfit! Share these favorite moments with your friends and compare your pet collection!

Complete the tasks for each Tamagotchi and get exclusive rewards
Upon unlocking a new Tamagotchi pet, the player would be given a list of specific tasks that the new Tamagotchi pet needs to complete to get coins and special rewards. For example, the player needs to complete tasks such as taking a photo for the default Adult pet, Mametchi, playing at the soccer field, unlocking the drone facility, and complete the Pirate career for Mametchi to receive the exclusive reward of a Detective outfit.

Tips, Hacks, and Cheats for My Tamagotchi Forever:
Get your target Tamagotchi by feeding them the correct food!
There’s a saying that you are what you eat. This theory is the same for your Tamagotchi pets. They evolve differently based on the type of food they eat. Explore with different types of food and see which type of Tamagotchi it will evolve into. For more details on the dietary requirements of each pet, you may wish to refer to our article here.
Get more Coins by completing the Daily Mini-Game Challenges
Log in to My Tamagotchi Forever and complete the mini-game challenge every day to get bonus coin rewards. This bonus coins reward will allow you gain coins quickly. From 300 coins in Day 1 till 800 coins in Day 5, these coins are easy to obtain compared to getting those coins from the mini-game itself. So don’t lose that Daily Challenge Streak Rewards!
Put your game as idle while your pet is sleeping
Do not click on the other icons on the game screen once it’s lights out for your pet. If you think that you can explore Tamatown, browse the Tamagotchi pet catalog, or review the memorable photos you have taken while your pet is asleep, then you are wrong. Your pet follows you wherever you go, hence, by clicking on any other button will result in your pet becoming awake again, resulting in a non-existent recharging of its energy bar.
